 Oswald Rios has already shot five installations of the “Decisiones” seriesand worked with “La Carretera” TV program and is on stand by for the new season of “La Viuda De Blanco”.
Oswald Rios signaling a complete television come back.
Miami ? After two years of absence, Oswald Rios has decided to make his come back for the popular Telemundo television channel program, “Decisiones”.
Last Thursday, Oswald was in the United States to shoot the first of five episodes.
In Puerto Rico, “Decisiones”. will aired be on the Telemundo channel from 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
The title of the episode is “Soltero se vive mejor” and Gabriela Vergara and Juan Pablo Gamboa both play a part in this Thursday television program in Puerto Rico.
“What makes me interested with Mr. Alejandro, the person I play, is that he proposes that a man is able to be a house husband in this present machismo society. He takes pride in his job but at the same time does not turn his back on being a man while still ensuring that he can carry out his duties at home.”
Oswald was talking on the phone during a break in the shooting of the television film, “La Carretera” which features Fidel Castro and will be aired on television on September 18th.
The part that Oswald plays, Alejandro, bears some similarity to the real-life Oswald such as having two sons.
The real-life Oswald, like his screen persona, is also a single man by choice, which has not always been the easy choice.
Oswald and the other cast spent three days shooting in a beautiful big house with director Mr. Miguel Varoni, who is well known as the actor who played the main character in “Pedro el escamoso”.
“I have always looked up to Miguel for being a great actor with a professional mind and great acting skills. But having experienced his great directing ability, I have to look him up to him twice.” Rios said.
“He is a great director and actor and technician”
His other comment on top of this was that, “This work was been very enjoyable because I have also been able to work with such high caliber young actors.”
Part of his analysis was that “it has been a great impression for me to have been able to work with somebody like Gabriela Vergara, who is one of the leading new generation actors in Central America.”
Also Oswald said that the next episode after “Decisiones” is going to be shot in Bogota in Colombia where “La Viuda De Blanco” became a mega hit in the mid 90’s.
“It will be made by Hugo Leon Ferrer of Colombia RTI, so I have to be there after two weeks.” he said. He also said, “You are the first person to know that Amparo Grisa les will also be staring in this with me”.
Grisales was the star in the television drama “En Cuerpo ajeno” by the author Julio Jimenez who wrote “El cuerpo del deseo” and “La viuda de Blanco” few years later.
The new version of this story is on Telemundo and RTI TV.
Oswald is going to play a different part in this remake version from the original version.
“We have to get together with the cast in the first week of October”. He was obviously impassioned about this new drama with Itati Cantoral and Francisco Gattorn.
“The shooting is going very smoothly and it seems to be popular in America.”
Before Oswald starts shooting “La Viuda De Blanco” and his other commitments, he will be shooting two more episodes for “Decisiones” and working in drama.
