 Osvaldo Rios, the actor, is coming back on local TV screen in “La carretera”, which is a new TV film produced by Jorge Luis Ramos and Vicente Castro for Televicentro and Lourdes Robles is the female lead.
“There is no doubt that Osvaldo is one of the most international Puerto Rican actors. I’m very glad that he arranged his schedule to shoot this film with us”, Ramos told EL VOCERO.
“This is an action movie as well as a suspense movie and is filled with a lot of humor”, the producer said about the film scripted and directed by Vicente Castro. They are planning to start shooting next week in the northern part of the island (Puerto Rico).
Rios is sure to vividly perform “the guy who is getting married soon and has decided to meet the girl he knew on the Internet before marriage in memory of his bachelor life”.
“It will bring about a set of encounter, missing each other, and misunderstanding because he doesn’t tell the whole truth, nor does she”, said the actor and producer of this film. He also told that it could be included in a genre of “road movie”.
“The plot of this movie is a chain of suspense, power game and feud over sex”, Ramos gave an explanation about the film. Lourdes Robles is returning in this work, too.
The XCL-TV creator working together with Castro highlighted that “La carretera” provided the important opportunities for the actors to exercise their abilities.
“She (the female main role) is complicated on the inside and is an astonishing character. The true aspects of what she intends to pretend at first will be revealed as the ploys move ahead. This is not the case only with her but also with the both. They both are quite humane and the story is developing with a focus on them.”
They will finish shooting “La carretera” in a week and it will be broadcast in prime time on Televicentro in September.
Now Rios is staying in Miami and is shooting the new version of “Blanco’s Widow” in which he starred in Colombia in 1996. He plays the bad guy, “Amador Blanco” in the telenovela starring Itati Cantoral and Francisco Gattorno. Rios has already worked with XCL-TV in “Asesinato en primer grado” (“Murder in the first degree”). |
