 A Puerto Rican actor Osvaldo Rios is going to start shooting as an invited actor in the Televisa’s telenovela, “Pecado Mortal (Deadly Sins)” written by Caridad Bravo Adams next week in Mexico, which makes him emerge at the international TV drama stage again. Fernando Colunga, Victoria Ruffo, Cesar Evora, Arnaldo Andre, Leticia Calderon are cast in this drama.
The drama which will be shot in the state of Chiapas settles on the subject matter of complex forbidden love. After giving birth to a girl, the heroine will bring up her daughter as a surrogate mother. Entangled in a lot of conspiracies, the surrogate mother will go blind, and her daughter will grow up to be a beautiful woman loved by the men in the drama.
“Televisa concentrates all its energies and funnels money as much as it would have never spent if a few years ago into this project. So, they have decided to gather the foreign actors like Arnaldo Andre and me. Through the producer, Salvador Mejia, Televisa asked me special appearance in the first 15 episodes which would take about 35 days to shoot. After I finish a job in Colombia, I’m planning to shoot “Una muchacha llamada Milagros (A Girl Called Milagros)” as the leading role from the beginning of 2001 with them”, the actor, who is going to leave for the Aztec land (Mexico) next Friday told.
Rios is going back to Puerto Rico on February 28 to stay for a few days. After that, the shooting of the TV drama “La muerte en vida (A Death in Life)”, in which he will star with Susana Torres (“Las Juanas“) and Maria Elena Doering (“La viuda de Blanco (Blanco’s Widow)”), will start in Colombia. The work is written by a great author, Julio Jimenez who wrote “En cuerpo ajeno (In a Foreign Body)” televised twice in Puerto Rico, “Las aguas mansas (Still Waters)”, and world renowned “La Viuda de Blanco”.
“I signed a 10-month contract for the project in Colombia. Probably I can postpone another year <undecipherable due to the garbled characters>,” the actor revealed. He is going to act as a rich bachelor named Hugo de Mendoza, who inherited not only his father’s property but also catalepsy.
