 After enjoying the delicious dishes of barbecue and vegetable, Osvaldo Rios began not just the interview, but the meaningful conversation about his attachment to acting, his strong personal beliefs for everything, his exuberant love for life, and so on.
The Puerto Rican actor talked about an “unforgettable” impression when he first arrived in Tabasco to play the important role in the drama “Hold me tight (Abrazame muy fuerte)” by the invitation of the producer Salvador Mejia.
“This is my first visit to Tabasco. When I got off the plane yesterday, I felt as if I had arrived in Puerto Rico due to its climate. Blue sky. The city is very beautiful and so green. I had an opportunity to go out and people were very kind and welcomed me. They were so humane and…”
He talked a lot about Tabasco people.
“When I went to the club, many people recognized me. Especially girls were quite kind, friendly, and also respectful.”
“I think that there is a similarity in people living near the sea anywhere in the world. In Tabasco, I met people who resembled Caribbean very much. Probably it has much to do with the sea and a comfortable climate. Good Latino nature and being an Indio may have a great influence, too. The memory of the Indio’s genes may help the gene, a master of human to form our gentle nature. I have a very good impression on Tabasco people so far.”

“The program “Blanco’s Widow (La Viuda de Blanco)” was shot in Colombia 2 years ago, and it was broadcasted here in Mexico. Delia Fiallo contacted me in Colombia through Salvador Mejia regarding working in Mexico. So we have cherished the idea of working together for these 2 years. But unfortunately it has not actualized as there were always some projects going on somewhere except in Mexico. I was performing in the musical, “Beauty and the Beast” 3 or 4 weeks ago. During the show, Salvador Mejia called me and said, “What’s up, my friend? What are you doing?” So, I answered that “Beauty and the Beast” was ending and I had made a contract with RTI in Colombia for a new program. He asked me “when will it begin?” and said, “You cannot say no any more. You should come to Mexico to make a guest appearance with Victoria Ruffo.” And that’s why I’m here with you.”
“My role will not have many lines in the drama, however, it takes an important role on influencing the whole subsequent story and every transition, and as a trigger for difficulties arising in the drama. My role is Diego Hernandez who is a leader and a noble young man. He is honest, strong, and a good fellow who loves Christina played by Victoria Ruffo body and soul. Diego and Christina will have a daughter performed by Aracely Arambula, and 24 years later the story begins between Aracely and Fernando.”
