Our introduction to him came from the TV drama gThree Destinies (Tres destinos)h in 1995. A Puerto Rican Osvaldo Rios was destined to obtain international success without setting foot in Mexico which was considered Hollywood for TV drama industry in Latin America.
gI love Mexico, so I came here for my vacation whenever possible. Unfortunately Ifve had no chance to come to work so far, but this time finally I can. Itfs great for me to stay in Mexico which is my homelandfs sister country and in which I have a lot of friends.h Because he is friends with the producer Salvador Mejia, Osvaldo accepted the offer to perform in the TV drama, gDeadly Sins (Pecado Mortal).h
gI could not say no to my friend, Chava. Although my role would appear only in the first 10 chapters, I was still happy to be able to work in Mexico. Ifve always dreamed of coming here. Besides, the offer was from Televisa, the important company and I always get surprised by the technology and equipment for producing they make use of.
gPeople welcomed me so kindly.h
-With so much prestige abroad, why did you come for only 10-chapter work?
gBecause I just like Mexico. Actually I should have stayed with my son for our vacation, but I could not decline this offer. In addition, the location was beautiful, people welcomed me so kindly, and workfellows also incredibly welcomed me.h
-But you have a stream of offers to come back to Mexico, donft you?
gNow I have a contract with RTI in Colombia. Ifm considering the offer
to stay in Mexico on a long term.h
-I mean, is that the one from Televisa?
gWell, I also received the offer from TV Azteca. It was about the program
titled gDestiny (Destino)h. I got the very interesting offer from Televisa,
too. I think I will be able to tell you more specifically much later.h
gMy greatest happiness is to be around my son.h
-Is it difficult for you to have private time while you are a highly-evaluated actor?
gThe secret is to try to separate my professional life and private. Ifm
an ordinary person to enjoy spending time with my family, and my son satisfies
me all.h
-Tell us about your son.
gGiuliano is a very wise kid. He understands my work pretty well for his age. We get along well and Ifm making efforts to stay with him for as many hours as possible. I think my greatest happiness is to be around my son.h
No plan for the third marriage.
-Tell us about your sonfs mother.
gOur son was born out of a very good relationship. It was my fate to get married twice, but Ifm well in with my two ex-wives, and I donft have any dissatisfaction about it. Now Ifm dating with an extremely wonderful girl, however, I canft speak out if we are a couple or not. But, well, I feel satisfied when Ifm with her, and Ifll tell you when the time comes.h
-A few years ago, you said that you would never get married again. Do you
still think so?
gI donft know. What is important is love. I donft need to sign the paper
to get along well with somebody. Contracts are unnecessary for love to
be trueh, he concluded.
