In 1979 gRauzan (El Caballero de Rauzan)h enjoyed the highest popularity in the Columbian TV world. It has been 21 years since then, RTI and Caracol Television now has gathered together to broadcast the new version of gRauzanh. The revival method is still alive now.
It is nothing new that the TV drama story is revived. When you see it, you would shed a few tears as if you have never seen it before. If you donft agree, you might like to count how many versions you have seen these characters written by Delia Fiallo such as a model Crystal, a lawyer Leonela, or blind Esmeralda on the TV screen. Only in Columbia, just think of gLa Caponerah dramatized by El Gallo De Oro, or gRauzanh, the drama in which Julio Jimenez made a debut in 1979.
The same story keeps alive in different presentations. But, what is the secret of its popularity? According to Angel del Cerro, a scriptwriter of gA donde Va Soldadh, who worked together with Delia Fiallo at Venevision, the success of revived works always attributes to maintaining the elements of melodrama. In other words, forbidden love, hatred, and passion. Besides, the new version must be always made reflecting the era in which it is presented enough.
